1. In fairness, WWIIOL does have a steep learning curve, and it *is* a game for players who want a realistically immersive combat experience. The average player age is significantly higher than for the average game, and many players have military experience. Player-group tactical operations are effective, so maturity is useful. It's not at all a competitor for the basic killfest shooters.
2. Ask in-game for squads to take you along on organized operations.

Judging by the comments left here about the initial article, as well as the DDOS attacks against the website, you could have fooled me about the age of the player base.

You know, it strikes me funny that a community took the time out to quit bitching on their own forums about their own game to come over here and complain.

WW2ol: Small Dev Team, Largest Online map and Ports MACINTOSH to boot. Im a mac player and this game has the best gameplay Ive ever encountered, period. If your the type of person who likes to be the bestesess uber munchkin of all, then this is not the game for you. If dying 10 times in a row without a kill chaps your hide, or you think that the most experienced player will pwn all, and gets pissed when a first day recruit kills pwns you. This game is not for you. I've played this game for 4 years and have not looked back.
