WWIIOL is NOT a FPS shooter. It's a true SIMULATION game. If you like the repetition of arcade combat, play BF42-style games. If you want something that I would recommend for training for the REAL military, then WWIIOL is for you. Its a RTS, FPS and training tool all in one.
As a retired Marine, I recommend this game to anyone planning on joining the military. The command and control is complex and the knowledge gained is invaluable. Clipsco has no clue...

From your comments, it is obvious that you played BE for all of an hour.

This is a hardcore pvp game.

If you dont like realism or challenging gameplay agaisnt other players, thats fine, but theres no need to actually make up stuff about the game to reinforce your opinion that it is crap.

You fail.

4. The HELL of being unable to do crap in a vehicle because you need a full crew (working together) to get the cranky beast to work.

Untrue. All vehicles are and have been fully operable by a lone player since day one. Multicrewing is available but rarely used..except for Strategic Bombing. Many Bombers Pilots utilize multicrewing in order to better maintain flight paths over targets as well as to enhance defense via tailgunners.

As a blogger, you really should try to actually get facts straight.

When did you last play the game? 2001?

1. The HELL of waiting to get into combat

There is NO waiting to get into combat. Army Bases, Forward Bases, Spawn depots and Moblile Spawn points all put players directly into the action and Attack and Defend objectives (clearly noted on the in-game map)help to guide players to where the action is.

2.The HELL of finding anyone to shoot at.

See the bit about Attack and Defend Objectives above.

3.The HELL of getting capped off in one shot.

Realism.

Ok, you probably played the game for like 5 min or so? and then quit cuz you couldnt hop around and get hit a thousand times?
or you havent played the game at all and read a stupid review of the game from someone who did the first thing.
Read more reviews dude, most give the game a 7 or 8.

Talking about WWIIOL:BE. It exist for almost 7 years and still have a regular playerbase wich loves realism and is not falling for scripted crap games like COD where you can kill a tank with a rifle or one grenade.
The fact you say you couldn't get a vehicle to work without multicrewing is utter bull. This proofs you never had the patience to master the game! Go back to Bunny Hopping counterstrike shooters or go play BF2 where you can be king of the Hill with your Killstreaks and healthpacks! If you want to critizise, no problem but keep to the facts and speak for yourself.

ok, it was a joke that 'WoW player' :)
but still for me and for a lot of ppl D&D Online is a great game. it was little disappintent in the begining, but as it grows it is realy nice. except some powergaming and grinding ideas here and there as it is the 'problem' of todays games :((

Hey, Kyblik, Clipsco is a D&D player. He calls it like he sees it and D&D Online has been a disappointment.

Being brutal to SOE is not only appropriate, it's practically required. They've consistently managed to eat cash and sh!t ruin and the wreckage of dreams. They deserve all the examination and due castigation you care to heap upon them.
