We will, for a moment forget that your reviews are poorly written and focus on the point. WWIIOL is an ambitious and incredibly accurate WWII simulation. No other game combines a flight sim, tank and infantry fps on so grand a scale. Next time play the game for more than 5 minutes.
I beta tested Everquest. There was a game that was the pre-cursor to Everquest in the mid-90s, don't remember, I played that too. Ultima Online, WoW, SWG, EVE, dozens of others...I have constantly tried out and player MMOGs and consistantly come back to only one: WW2OL. WW2OL is the most realistic combat simulation I as a combat veteran (Iraq 2 time, Afghan 1) have encountered. The creators of this game are in love with it and the players are the most loyal family (to each other and to the creators) in the gaming industry. BTW: Screw the history channel and their "accuracy."
WWIIOL is the most ambitious and interesting MMO I have ever played, and like you I have pretty much played them all. None save UO have come close to holding my interest like this one has, and none for as long.
It is arguably a niche game I agree however since release I havent found a title with as awsome of a community or devs that comes with a solidly unique experience.
First off the developers at cornered rat software, have not only put a game togehter that they and it's players are almost religeous about. But they are in constantDAY to DAY contat via the forums , huge teamspeak meetings, weekly q&A sessions. and newslettetters with the game community. countless times have i seen the developrs place real dev time on suggestions and comments from the community, something no other games dev team does. the game play is immersive and extrordinary. It is a whole new system of gaming to learn. next time spend some time to find out.
Yes WW2 has a steep learning curve. But, you obviously don't have the patience to learn any thing. WW2 is the most emmersive WW2 game going with the largest map in the gaming community. Just as in real life you have to take the time to learn the piece of equipment you want to use.
Also, you don't have to multicrew any piece of equipment in WW2.
World War II Online is considered by many to be the first MMOFPS, though it is also a massively multi-player simulation or virtual battlefield. It was released on June 6, 2001. The launch of World War II Online is a legend in the game industry and it has managed a steady pace of updates.
Wow...im impressed by your inability to judge a game properly. Your statement sounds like someone who prefers ludo over chess just because he doesnt understands the complexity of a game. Its definitley the best game i ever played and i played lots of games. You need a bit more time to understand how it works and be succesful.
You are way off on your review of WWIIOL as you can see by all the responses. Next time ask the community for help. This is a game that has a steap learning curve and as soon as you don't play one part of the game for awhile your skills will decline. Iahve been playing for 5 years now and this is the only game I keep staying subscribed too. It is pure raw pvp and it is nothing for the leet younsters. They'd be better of clicking at badgers in WoW or whatever. If you ever try WWIIOL again feel free to look me up and Ill show you how to tank if you chose the allied side. Dahlskis the name.
