In celebration of the return of Macross and Robotech to the RPG world. I will kick off the Play by Post with an introductory Macross II Campaign:

Restrictions: Everyone is a Valkryie Pilot period.

Characters: Give your character name and give me three single things he/she is good at (e.g. Shooting, Flying, Mechanics, or Sweet Talking, Commanding, Running).

Once I have have that info we can begin. I will start once I get at least 3 participants. And people can add in by giving me the above character information.

Count down has now begun.

Quick and dirty background:

You are from a fairly shattered earth and have just repulsed the largest alien invasion since the "rain of death" almost 60-75 years ago. The Earth UN Forces are in full rebuild mode since the UN HQ was destroyed in the invasion HQ has been moved to a base on the Moon. Your job as is to play an interdiction force to round up and either naturalize or neutralize any remnants of the hostile invasion force left.

Current MI estimates put that at >10,000 starships with an estimated fighting capacity of 100,000 operational mecha.

Of course all resources are currently being used in reconstruction so priority to is protect outer world mining and salvage operations and allow for operations to be completed unmolested.

Your current Flagship is UN Spacy Corvette: Ramathorn
Your Squad is the: Flaming Ferrets.

Your Mission: Patrol and monitor all commercial shipping lanes, protect all resources gathering vessels and outposts. Meet and greet hostile remnants of the invasion and neutralize them using any and all means necessary.

What is there to know... your a soldier... you pilot a 50ft tall variable wing fight craft changes into a hybrid and humanoid type mode...

You carry huge guns... your enemies are 50-70ft tall male/femail humanoids who are breed for war.. and want humanity destroyed.

P.S. I don't need crap about the source selection I know its not "technically" in the timeline, however its easy. Hell, if alternate timelines worked in Star Trek so it can work here.

Alternate timelines work in the Gundam universe as well. Besides, Macross II is interesting in its own right.
