Angels, Devils, and humanity... oh my!
I recently had a chance to chat with Damon Grow, CEO of Shattered Reality Interactive Inc., whose current MMOG development project Kaos War: Rise of the Fallen is steadily making progress.
Which such a glut of fantasy MMOG's on the market it was interested to see Damon's take on what is shaping up to be a remarkable game. Evil, Good, and those chucked in the middle never looked so good.

Game Musketeers was able to be privy to another Conference call with the Executive Producer and Creaive Director of Mythic Entertainement MMOG Warhammer Online a MMOG conversion of Games Workshop's venerable hobby franchise.
The conference included Jeff Hickman, Excutive Producer. Paul Barnett, Creative Director and Josh Dresher, World Aspiring Genius(tm).
I took the time to transcribe and paraphrase, when necessary the contents of this call which was to explain the Introduction of WAR's Chaos and Empire's Armies.
The Empire and Chaos are humanity in its two forms.
The Empire represents humanity trying to makes ends meets and struggling to survive in a world of grim darkness (i.e. the mostly good guys). Empire is a Medieval Germanic Europe society struggling for survival. Chaos and Evil is pushing in on all sides and as such they are just barely hanging on.
Chaos represent humanity (WITH TENTACLES!!!) corrupted by Chaos (i.e. the really bad guys).
I have included a "mostly" accurate transcription of the numerous questions asked and answered by the Mythic crew.

You may have seen the movie, or maybe you pulled an allnighter on the Sci-Fi Network to watch one of their numerous marathon sessions of SG-1 and/or SG Atlantis.
Now after almost 10 years of series additions, Stargate will be breaking out of the small screen, and into the MMOG grinder. Can our intrepid band of travelers make the Sci-Fi MMOG jump that so many others have failed?
To find out I went and had a brief chat with Dan Elggren, Senior Producer of Stargate Worlds.
Let's see what Dan had to say concerning the ongoing development of Stargate Worlds.

Many DMs dream of designing their own campaign world. Some get started and come up with a great product. Others get started and stop almost as quickly because it's "just not working," or it's "too much work." Toothpick the Ferret is in the process of designing a new campaign world and takes a look at the process he's using to make it happen in this multi-part series.
