Set in an Victorian Age during the age of exploration Sword of the New World hopes to expand into the a new range which breaks out of the Sci-Fi/Fantasy mold.

Hello, my name is Peter Cesario and I am the Producer for Sword of the New World.
How has the development for SofNW been progressing?
Progress has been fantastic! In fact, we are now just bringing all of the final pieces of the localization process together in preparation for our upcoming closed beta testing, followed by a larger public beta.
The Victorian / Baroque atmosphere for this MMOG is very original. Because of this what creative licenses were opened up for your development team?
The games unique setting allows for a look and feel that no other MMO has to offer. Also, because the Sword is not necessarily based on any particular historical events or people, there is a lot of creative license when it comes to storyline and content.
How will the Multi Character Control System affect the PvE and PvP?
We feel that MCC will have an extremely positive affect on both PvE and PvP, in that this will be the first time player's wont necessarily have to worry about sitting around in town waiting for a healer for their group since they can bring their own along! On the PvP side, MCC allows for more diversity and strategic elements than ever seen before in an MMO. For instance, when dueling someone, you have to prepare for not only the three individual classes they're using, but how those three work together - Mage, Wizard, Fighter? Three Elementalists? Add in the fact that each class can specialize in any number of stances, and the combinations and strategies are endless!
What gaming dynamic will Families introduce to SofNW? Will Dynasty's become possible?
The Family system is a perfect companion to the MCC. Basically, any character's created or unique player character's added under your account will share a family name allowing others to see where you rank. The bigger the family the more prestige!
What other features and innovations will SofNW utilize in order to enhance its marketability.
Besides MCC, Sword of the New World offers a intriguing setting and stunning visual style not seen in any other MMO. Also, the stance system is a feature that has been taken further than any other game in the genre, allowing for an almost limitless number of customization options. In fact, it will be extremely rare to find two players with the exact same character builds!
I'll end with the standard GM question: If there was anything you could change about SofNW what would it be?
I just wish we could release it sooner so everyone could start having as much fun Website playing Sword as we are!!
