Oh, frabjous day... we gamers are mainstream enough that other markets finally find us financially viable enough to exploit... err... offer us quality goods and services in exchange for our hard earned money. First up? Porn, evidently.
A friend of mine emailed me a link to Whores of Warcraft this week. There's actually no nudity at that link (yet), but the content isn't really work-appropriate, and I sure as hell wouldn't want my userid next to the that url in the request log... but your mileage may vary. Me? I'd click the link from home. The site is marked as coming soon, but the preview video and teaser pictures indicate that it's going to be a pornographic website featuring women in fantasy costumes... leaning heavily toward a World of Warcraft theme, it would seem. The chick with the night elf ears and face paint? I don't know whether to laugh or cry. For further unintentional comedic genius, check out the interview with the night elf LARPer pornlet (do I really need to point out that this one isn't work-safe?) where she tries to sound uber-l33t and manages to use every piece of slang imaginable incorrectly. So I guess if the half-naked night elves dancing on the AH bridge in IF nightly aren't doing it for you any more (you guessed it... NSFW, although at least this one has a fairly innocuous URL), things are looking up. |
